We all have those days. You start off strong, thinking you’re just going to relax, unwind a little, and keep it simple—but then boom… the day takes a turn. That was me yesterday.

If you’re trying to stay committed to your fitness journey while battling urges like drinking or junk food, this blog might hit close to home.

It Started with a Movie… And a Letdown

Yesterday started on a high note. I went to the movies with family and friends. We saw 28 Years Later—and let me tell you, it had a strong start but then nosedived straight into “What the hell is this?” territory.

What started off as suspenseful and exciting turned into a mess of poor decisions and dumber plot points.
Safe to say: not a fan.

Mexican Food Mishap

After the movie, we hit up a local Mexican spot. I ordered a wet burrito with steak and cheese.

Should’ve known by the way it looked… that steak resembled cat food more than anything else.
I powered through half of it and washed it down with a nonalcoholic drink that tasted like regret.

The Ice Bath That Never Happened

Came home planning to recover and recharge with an ice bath. I was ready to reset. But instead, I reached for a White Claw. And then… a shot of vodka.

And another White Claw.

Before I knew it, I was drunk and passed out.

The Honest Struggle with Alcohol

I don’t even like drinking like that. But sometimes, it sneaks up on you—especially on “chill” days.

That said, I’m proud I didn’t go full beast mode with IPAs and hard liquor. Still, that’s not an excuse.
I need to cut it. It doesn’t serve me. It doesn’t help my goals. And it sure as hell won’t get me closer to the physique I’m working for.

Conclusion: No More Excuses

Not every day is perfect. And that’s okay. What matters is what you do after those slip-ups.
Today, I’m choosing better. No more half-assed burritos. No more emotional sipping.
